I shoveled my sidewalk but it got covered again once street got plowed. Can the City send someone to shovel my sidewalk?

During snow emergencies, plows will push snow as close to the curb as possible in order to assure proper clearance and safety, particularly emergency vehicles. The Department of Public Works accepts snow removal requests for all city-owned streets, lots, properties and abutting sidewalks. While we do our absolute best to avoid plowing extra snow onto private properties, sometimes it is unavoidable, and we are truly sorry for those instances, but the DPW cannot accept requests for removal from sidewalks and/or driveways as a result of our efforts to clear the roads.
